Hydrangeas and roses

Autumn and hydrangea go together

I set off early this morning before the heavens opened and had a delightful time at the flower market. I returned home loaded down with hydrangea, roses, lysianthus and a mixture of foliage and berries. A couple of hours of conditioning, twisting and binding later and I settled down to a cup of tea and the pleasure of three home made bouquets.

My favourite of the three is definitely the trio of pink and green variegated hydrangea and roses. It is the first time I have worked with hydrangea but the giant heads in dirty pink with tinges of green were too gorgeous to resist and cried out to be paired with the blush pink roses.
